Independence
Gum Disease Care Guide is an independent educational publisher. We are not owned by a dental service organization, a product manufacturer, or an insurance company. That independence is what makes it possible to cover topics honestly — including when the honest answer is "the evidence is mixed" or "this product is fine, but marketing has oversold the benefit."
Sourcing
Every substantive claim in our articles is traceable to a public source. Where those sources are online and stable, we link to them directly. Where they are behind paywalls or subject to frequent URL changes, we cite them in a way that lets a reader find them.
Disclosure
When advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate links appear, they are labeled. Sponsorships never determine which topics we cover or how we cover them.
Correction policy
See our editorial process for the full policy. In short: we correct errors, we note the correction, and for substantive changes we explain what changed.
What we don't do
- We don't diagnose, prescribe, or treat.
- We don't recommend specific clinicians.
- We don't publish sponsored articles disguised as editorial.
- We don't remove articles quietly when they need updating — we revise and date them.
