Our commitment
Gum Disease Care Guide is committed to making its content accessible to the broadest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as an editorial and design responsibility, not a checkbox.
Standards
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is an ongoing process — some content or features may not yet fully conform, and we work to fix issues as we identify them.
Design practices
Our design and development practices include:
- Semantic HTML5 structure with meaningful headings.
- Sufficient text-to-background color contrast.
- Keyboard-navigable interactive elements.
- Descriptive alt text for meaningful images.
- Form fields with associated labels and error messages.
- Skip-to-content link for screen reader and keyboard users.
- Responsive layouts down to small viewports.
Assistive technologies
We test with recent versions of major screen readers and browser accessibility features. If a specific tool or configuration is not working well with our site, please let us know.
Feedback
If you encounter accessibility barriers or have suggestions, email contact@gumdiseasecareguide.com. We treat accessibility feedback as a priority and aim to respond within two business days.
Alternate formats
If our content is not accessible to you in its current form, we will make reasonable efforts to provide the same information in an alternate format.
