Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Data portability, where applicable;
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not do either.
How to submit a request
Email contact@gumdiseasecareguide.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." Include the request type, sufficient information for us to verify your identity, and any additional details we would need to act on it.
Verification
We will use reasonable measures to verify your identity before acting on a request that involves personal information. If we cannot verify your identity, we may not be able to fulfill the request.
Response times
We aim to respond to verified requests within 30 days. Where a law provides a specific response time (for example, the CCPA/CPRA), we follow that schedule.
Authorized agents
An authorized agent may submit requests on your behalf. We may require verification of both your identity and the agent's authorization.
Appeals
If you disagree with the outcome of a request, reply to our response with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will re-review and respond.
Non-discrimination
We do not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right — for example, by degrading the level of service you receive.
